This is THE VR game, if you ever want to show someone the capability of a VR game then this is it. I've been playing it for a bit last year but my room wasn't quite VR ready, but through my office rearrangement I got some much-needed space and so I gave it another try and hot damn. I mean sure the first impressions are already mind-blowing, but actually playing the game is another level.
You've got horror elements, pure action, puzzles, and awesome set pieces all into one in a spectacular VR environment. I have played Half-Life 2 a few years back but never finished it, so I wasn't too familiar with the story but it was engaging nonetheless.
For games and especially VR games there is so much potential, and I look forward to where the technology will lead us, the only thing is I still cannot walk by using the joypad on one of the controllers. Walking in the game but you're actually standing still, messes with my brain and I get sick, so I still play them with the teleporting gameplay option. So maybe there will be a better option one day. Until then I hope more games like Half-Life Alyx will be released.
