Top Gun: Maverick

During the last few years, the movies I'd want to see on the big screen have become more and more selected. On the one side because TV screens are getting bigger and my home is more sophisticated when it comes to surround sound and because the theatre experience can be a bit annoying. But once I saw the trailer for the sequel to Top Gun I knew this one I wanted to see on the most giant screen possible, on an IMAX screen.

The movie does not disappoint, never has aerial flight scenes looked this realistic, tense, and mind-blowing, and witnessing it all on a giant screen only made the experience that much more extreme. Joseph Kosinski has a beautiful way of staging and capturing scenes and Tom Cruise does what he's been doing best for the last few years: delivering an experience like none before.

A sequel that was worth the wait and improved upon the original in every single way possible. If possible, go watch it on an IMAX screen.
